Upon his arrival at the district headquarters Chautara, President Yadav took stock of relief distribution, loss of human lives and properties from the local authorities and security personnel.
Meanwhile, President Yadav also directed the officials of District Natural Disaster Rescue and Relief Committee to expedite the works of relocating the at-risk settlements in the district to safe areas at the earliest.
President Yadav also asked the authorities to store sufficient foods and other essential commodities in the villages in view of the contingency as the road to the district can be blocked by landslide at any time during the rainy season.
Yadav visited remote village Listi before he flew to Dolakha district where he will inspect the most badly earthquake-hit areas Singati and Charikot.
On June 9, Yadav is scheduled to visit Dhading and other badly hit districts including Gorkha, Nuwakot, Rasuwa.
Yadav has already visited national heritage sites of cultural and archeological importance that have suffered damages in the earthquake.
