Power disruption in parts of Lalitpur

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced that there will be power outages in various areas of Lalitpur for up to six and a half hours today.



The NEA issued a notice stating that electricity supply will be disrupted from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM today for the purpose of replacing electricity poles.

According to the NEA, power outages will affect areas under the Pulchowk feeder of the Pulchowk Distribution Center, including Eti Tole, Mahapal, Patan Durbar, Banglamukhi, Shankhamul, Patan Dhoka, Mangal Bazaar, and Chhawal.


The NEA has apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused due to the power supply disruption.


The notice mentions that if the assigned work is completed ahead of schedule, electricity may be restored earlier than the specified time.
