Pokhara Engineering College padlocked

POKHARA, June 24: Students have padlocked Pokhara Engineering College for an indefinite period, on Monday.



The Diploma II Year Electrical Group students padlocked the administration and examination offices of the college, saying that Drawing classes have not started yet some two months after the beginning of the academic session. [break]



The students on Sunday had give a 24-hour ultimatum to commence the classes. The students said they took the step as the college remained indifferent to their repeated calls for starting the classes. “Now there are only one and a half months left for the exams, but still the classes have been started,”Damodar Dahal, a striking student, said. He added they would not disrupt running classes, however.
