KATHMANDU, Dec 25: A total of 10 life insurance companies have declared dividends for their shareholders from the profits of the last Fiscal Year (FY).
Of these life insurers, six have planned to provide only the cash dividends, while four have announced a nominal amount in bonus shares. Nepal Life Insurance is providing 21.05 percent dividends including five percent bonus shares.
Seven insurers—four life and three non-life—declare dividends
Life Insurance Corporation has also proposed to provide 21.05 percent cash dividends and Sun Nepal Life Insurance has planned to provide returns of 20.263 percent, with five percent bonus shares.
Citizen Life Insurance has proposed a 20 percent dividend, while IME Life Insurance and Sanima Reliance Life Insurance have declared providing cash dividends of 10.53 percent and 10.18 percent, respectively, to their shareholders. These companies are yet to hold their Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
