KATHMANDU, Nov 20: The opposition parties on Tuesday expressed concerns over the government decision to bring two-thirds budget without political consensus.

Leaders from the opposition parties passed a two-point resolution, regretting the government decision to bring the budget during an interaction with business entrepreneurs and economic experts at National Assembly Hall in the capital.[break]

In the resolution, they have claimed that the government move would further complicate the ongoing political and constitutional situation.

Accusing the government of moving ahead unilaterally by announcing new elections and endorsing the budget, the leaders have said the government has overlooked the ongoing talks among the political parties for consensus.

Opposition parties’ leaders including CPN-UML were present in the program.
