People have been complaining about NT's poor service quality in the past few days. Many have expressed their anger in social media platforms.
Dilli Adhikari, assistant spokesperson of Nepal Telecom, agreed that voice quality has suffered and dropped-call rate has increased in recent days. But he said the problem is not due to technical reason in the system. "Our subscribers have been facing problems mainly because we have not been able to keep our Base Transmitter Stations (BTS) fully up due to fuel crisis and load-shedding," said Adhikari. "Lengthy disruption in power supply due malfunctioning of electricity transformers has also created problems for us"
Lack of smooth power supply to BTS has also affected 3G service of the state-owned operator.
