KATHMANDU, March 10: Even as the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has been issuing updates daily on Prime Minister KP Oli’s health, it is not clear when he will be discharged from the hospital.
Prof Dr Prem Krishna Khadga, executive director of the hospital, said the prime minister has been allowed to continue his regular diet, exercises and walking-abouts.
“On the sixth day of kidney transplant, his health has been improving satisfactorily,” said Prof Dr Khadga.
Barshman Pun discharged from hospital
Before heading for hospital for kidney transplant, Oli had told the media that he would leave the hospital six days after the transplant. But the doctors and his aides are not sure when will the prime minister be discharged.
Of late, none of the aides and relatives have been allowed to meet Oli to prevent infection.
When asked when would the prime minister be discharged from the hospital, Oli’s press advisor Surya Thapa said even he has not been allowed to see the prime minister. “It’s not clear when he will be discharged. Come tomorrow at 4 pm for an important announcement,” said Thapa adding, “But don’t run away with the impression that he is going to be discharged tomorrow.”
