BHAKTAPUR, Sept 13: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana said on Thursday it is not possible to reinstate the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA).

He argued that there is reason to believe that the political parties, reviving the CA, would be able to agree on new constitution as they could not do so even in four years’ time in the past. [break]

Speaking at a Teej program in Bhaktapur, Rana said the only way out to the current crisis is going for fresh mandate.

He also accused Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai of sticking to his post and asked him to step down for the sake of formation of a consensus government.

The RPP chairman also said talks regarding his party’s unification with RPP-Nepal and Rastriya Janashakti Party is ongoing and expressed his hope that the three parties could be one, again, after some time.
