KATHMANDU, April 5: Former Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Pashupati Shamsher Rana has said that the government must immediately release Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra, lawmaker Dhawal Shumsher Rana and other nationalists without any conditions.
“On March 28, the government opened fire on the peaceful demonstration organized by the Nepali people, brutally suppressed it, and unlawfully arrested the people without reason, demanding constitutional monarchy, the abolition of federalism, and an end to corruption and misgovernance,” said Rana.
RPP issues 24-hour ultimatum for unconditional release of Mishr...

“In this regard, I urge the current government to immediately release Senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra, General Secretary and MP Dr Dhawal Shamsher Rana and other nationalist comrades unconditionally,” Rana stated during a meeting with journalists.
The senior politician also expressed doubts about the government's stance on not forming a high-level judicial inquiry commission into the Tinkune incident.
“I strongly call for the formation of a high-level judicial inquiry commission to investigate the incident and take strict action against the guilty,” Rana said, “Not only that, such a commission should have been formed immediately, its findings should have been received, and actions should have been taken by now. In this delay, the government itself is fully at fault. I strongly condemn the government's brutal repression and barbaric actions.”
