In the new A-Star, the company has refurbished the interiors and added new colors. Besides, the company has also introduced a new top-end variant-- ZXi.
The new A-Star now has grey and beige interiors. The car has 50:50 ratio-separated rear folding seats. The folding rear seat allows increasing the storage capacity when a longer object has to be placed inside the car by folding one half of the rear seat giving plenty of room for an adult to sit on the other half of the seat.

The exterior look of the star is now complemented by a new wheel rim design and a rear spoiler that gives a car a sporty look. “The automatic car is free from clutch and gears that provides the customer complete freedom from clutch and gear,” said Shrestha.
For the comfort and safety of passengers, the car is equipped with features such as standard climate control AC, power windows, integrated audio system with 4 speakers and USB port, front and rear power windows, power steering, manual lock at the centre, remote fuel filler and folding rear seats.
To secure the driver and passengers, the car is loaded with safety features that include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belts pre-tensioners and force limiters, immobilizer, child proof rear door locks and security system, among others.
According to the company, the car with 998cc, KB-series engine delivers a maximum power of 67 Bhp at the rate of 6,200 rpm and maximum torque of 90 Nm at the rate of 3,500 rpm. It delivers the mileage of 19 km per liter in the highways.
According to Shrestha, the introductory price for Astar VXi is Rs 2.03 million and Astar ZXi is priced at Rs 2.13 million.
Earlier, the car was available in paradise blue, arctic white and silky silver only but now the customers will get two additional colors: pearl caffeine brown and metallic glistering grey.
