KATHMANDU, March 23: Nepal made a losing start in the Third Asian Senior Central Zone Men's Volleyball Championship on Thursday in Male, Maldives.
Nepal faced a straight set defeat of 25-20, 25-18, 25-22 at the hands of Turkmenistan in its first match of the round robin league.
Nepal will face Maldives on Friday and Kyrgyzstan on Monday in the four team contest.
The team finishing on top will automatically qualify for the final.
Meanwhile, teams finishing second and third in the round robin league will vie in play off to determine the fate of the second finalist.
