The 34-year-old soldier who hailed from Ramechhap passed away last week. His throat swab sample was collected and sent for COVID-19 test which came positive on Thursday, according to Nepal Army headquarters.
Meanwhile, the number of Nepal Army personnel to be infected with coronavirus has reached 2,056. Of them, 401 have recovered and 1,654 are currently undergoing treatment at various isolation centers, according to the army headquarters.
