But what she had never thought of turned into reality earlier this month - thanks to Golden SIM scheme launched by Ncell, under which every lucky winner is handed over a cash prize of Rs 1 million.[break]
"I am speechless," Chaudhary was quoted in a statement released by Nepal´s largest mobile phone service provider after she was handed over the prize money in Kathmandu. She told Ncell she plans to use the money to pay debts, enroll two children in “good school” and ask her husband to come back home.
"This amount is more than sufficient for me and my family to secure a comfortable future," Chaudhary said.
A day after Chaudhary bagged the prize, Kishor Rokka was expressing similar happiness. Although Rokka is from a well-to-do family and owns a hardware showroom in Kumaripati, he was expressing similar cheerfulness as Chaudhary.
"I am very happy to get this prize,” he told Ncell, as the company´s CEO Pasi Koistinen visited his showroom to hand over the check of Rs 1 million. “I feel Ncell´s network is not a one-way traffic,” he said, adding, "I will keep this money in my daughter´s name."
Rokka and Chaudhary are the first two winners of the Golden SIM scheme, under which seven winners can earn Rs 1 million net each. Everyone who uses Ncell phones actively is eligible for the scheme. The winners are selected through a lucky draw.
