NC secures victory in Kushma

PARBAT, May 18: The Nepali Congress (NC) has secured the post of mayor and deputy-mayor in Kushma Municipality of Parbat.

PARBAT, May 18: The Nepali Congress (NC) has secured the post of mayor and deputy-mayor in Kushma Municipality of Parbat.

As per the final result, the NC candidate Ram Chandra Joshi elected to the mayoral post with 8057 votes. His nearest contender CPN-UML candidate Meghnath Joshi scored 7239 votes.

Likewise, for the post of deputy-mayor, Sita Lamichhane of NC has been elected with 8419 votes whereas her closest challenger Muga Pokharel of CPN-UML scored 7023 votes.
