KATHMANDU, Sept 24: General Secretary of Nepali Congress, Shashank Koirala has recovered from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to his personal secretary, Bharat Tiwari, Koirala tested negative for the virus during a follow up test via the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique.
Koirala, who was diagnosed with the viral infection earlier on September 9, was admitted to the Chabahil-based Om Hospital for treatment as he had developed high fever. He was discharged from the hospital on September 19 at the recommendation of the medics and was staying isolated at his home since then.
