MoGA unveils 100-day achievements

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Ministry of General Administration (MoGA) has unveiled the list of achievements the Ministry made in 100 days since the formation of UML-led coalition government.

Organizing a press conference on Tuesday, the Ministry shared its action-plan, including a 39-point concept paper, aiming to expedite the implementations of the provisions incorporated in the incumbent government's immediate reform action plan.

"Among the accomplishments achieved by the Ministry encompasses the management of government employees' deputation and transfer, fixing the date for holding the trade union's election and cancellation of the provision ensuring dual-facilities for the retired government employees among others," stated Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma.

Making dress code mandatory for the employees in the government office for rendering services, management of staffs in transition and in the federal set up and promotion of good governance through public service are other achievements, she added.

The Ministry, which has tightened the noose against those government officials deploying sub-ordinate employees on deputation, shall book them as per the Civil Service Act.

Ministry Secretary Tankamani Sharma said that the Minister Sharma made on-site visits to various districts to collect public feedback, garnered suggestions for the amendment of Civil Service Act and increment of participation and access of female employees in the government agencies among were also some key achievements in the past 100 days.

He added that the Ministry was doing homework to make the management of staffers and organizational structure for the federal set up.

The MoGA has also put in place a system where the Citizen Charter's is placed in various districts in local languages and informational materials illustrating the same is made available to public in their mother tongue, it was shared. RSS
