At a program organized by Nepal Students' Union (NSU) here on Monday, Singh said that he was fit for the party's top post adding that he took charge of party vice-president when the NC was divided and was elected the general secretary from the 12th general convention when Sushil Koirala was elected the party president.
"I have made lots of struggles in the party so I am competent for the party president," Singh said.
He, however, said that he would announce his candidacy only after some days though the cadres from across the country have piled pressure on him to file candidacy for the post of party president in the upcoming 13th general convention.
