According to the data collected from pollution monitoring stations installed at different places of the Valley, the poorest air quality was recorded in the morning between 9 and 10, the time when most businesses and offices commence their daily businesses. The AQI docked at 184 μg/m³ during the hour.
The cleanest air (115.54 μg/m³) on Thursday was measured in the afternoon, which, however, is by far worse than the standard of 25 μg/m³ prescribed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and 40 μg/m³ set by the Government of Nepal.
