The team is arriving here at the invitation of the Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal, the Charumati Buddha Vihar and the World Youth Buddhist Monks Association Nepal branch.[break]
During its two-day stay in Nepal, the Buddhist delegation will call on the Prime Minister and visit Lumbini, Swayambhunath and Boudhdhanath.
The members of the delegation will also perform a Buddha prayer at the 2,300 years old Charumati Stupa wishing for world peace.
President of the World Youth Buddhist Monks Association Nepal branch and Chief of the Charumati Buddha Vihar, Bhikkhu Tapaswi Dhamma, said this visit of a team of Buddhist monks from the South East Asian countries will help promote Nepal and contribute to the development of Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.
