Jeep owner killed for not providing pickup

POKHARA, Nov 27: A jeep owner was stabbed to death by a group of youths after he failed to provide transportation to them, in Kaski district on Monday evening.



The body of Gam Bahadur Thapa of Rivan VDC-6, the jeep owner,  was recovered from Lumbre of Lwangghale here in the district on Tuesday morning.



According to police, a group of local youths knifed Thapa to death after he could not avail his jeep to pick them up from Siding, where they had gone to play volleyball.[break]



Police have nabbed 15 youths in connection with the killing. Two others are still at large.



Shyam Krishna Adhikari, DSP at Kaski District Police Office, informed that the local youths had called up Thapa to immediately bring his Jeep to pick them up.



But Thapa pleaded his inability to meet their demand, saying the jeep was already reserved by some other people, leading to the enraged youths killing him, Adhikari informed.
