Janakpur tense; UDMF cadres pelt petrol bombs, stones at police post

JANAKPUR, Dec 28: Janakpur remained tense on Monday as United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres and police clash at Janaki Chowk.

Three protestors are injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.Police fired two rounds of tear gas canisters as protestors pelted petrol bombs and stones at Janaki Police Post.

Police have arrested four protestors.

UDMF has been staging protests over the 'police action' against Chairman of Sadhbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato. Mahato was injured in Biratnagar during the scuffle with police on Saturday evening.
