Jhapa records 11 percent voter turnout by 11 AM

According to the District Election Office, 15 percent voting was recorded in Jhapa Constituency-5.

KATHMANDU, March 5: Overall voter turnout in all constituencies of Jhapa District reached 11 percent by 11 AM today. Out of a total of 713,537 registered voters, 82,840 votes were cast.



According to the District Election Office, 15 percent voting was recorded in Jhapa Constituency-5. Out of 163,379 voters in Jhapa-5, 25,223 votes were cast by 11 AM.

Similarly, 20 percent voting was recorded in Jhapa Constituency-2, where 29,172 votes were cast out of 147,522 voters.


In other constituencies, voting remained relatively low. Jhapa Constituency-1, with 131,067 voters, recorded 7 percent turnout, while Jhapa Constituency-3, with 140,857 voters, also recorded 7 percent turnout. Jhapa Constituency-4, with 130,712 voters, recorded 8 percent turnout.
