HoR, National Assembly sessions adjourned until 11 am on Monday

Opposition parties had been obstructing both houses of Parliament, demanding a response from the Prime Minister regarding the government's removal of Kulman Ghising from the position of Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.

KATHMANDU, March 30: The meetings of both houses of the federal parliament have been adjourned until 11 am on Monday after holding brief discussions on Sunday.


Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal held multiple discussions with the chief whips of both the ruling and opposition parties to resolve the parliamentary impasse.

Speaker Ghimire and Chairman Dahal also held discussions on Sunday afternoon. According to sources, after the discussion, a decision was made to adjourn the HoR and National Assembly meetings until 11 am on Monday.
