HETAUDA, April 24: Chairman of CPN-UML Makwanpur, Sridhar Pokharel, has been seriously injured in a scooter accident.
The incident occurred on the inner road in front of Pushpalal Park in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-5. According to Makwanpur Police, the 62-year-old Pokharel was riding a scooter (BA PR 3-03001 Pa 5807) when the accident took place.

The accident occurred while he was on his way to the party office from his residence in Kamaldanda- 4. Upon finding him unconscious, locals rescued him and rushed to Hetauda Hospital for treatment.
He has sustained injuries to his head, forehead and right hand. Currently, he is being treated in the ICU and his condition has stabilized.
