Speaking at the session of the House on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi giving details over the Saptari incident said that the police had to open fire and used tear gas to disperse the crowd as there was threat on the security of the leaders of the CPN-UML.


Citing that the locals used household arms to disturb the mass meeting of CPN-UML, DPM Nidhi said that it falls on government responsibility to protect the life of the citizen and to control down the  situation from getting worst.
