KATHMANDU, Oct 5: Gold has hit a new record high price of Rs 230,600 per tola (11.6638 grams) in the domestic market on Sunday, the first day after the end of public holidays of Dashain.
The price of gold was recorded at Rs 223,200 per tola on September 28, the last day before the start of Dashain holiday. The precious metal witnessed a single day hike of Rs 7,400 as the market opened for trading on Sunday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).

Likewise, silver has also become expensive by Rs 120 per tola. At the new rate, silver now costs Rs 2,930 per tola in Nepal’s market.
