RSP continues to top the PR vote table

A total of 10,039,338 votes have been counted nationwide so far. The RSP leads with 4,814,542 votes (47.96%), followed by the Nepali Congress with 1,620,559 votes (16.14%) and the CPN-UML with 1,349,450 votes (13.44%).

KATHMANDU, March 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is maintaining a strong lead in the ongoing vote counting under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives election, according to the latest results released by the Election Commission (EC).



A total of 10,039,338 votes have been counted nationwide so far. The RSP leads with 4,814,542 votes (47.96%), followed by the Nepali Congress with 1,620,559 votes (16.14%) and the CPN-UML with 1,349,450 votes (13.44%).

Other parties’ vote shares are: Nepali Communist Party – 733,610 (7.31%), Shram Sanskriti Party – 341,083 (3.40%), Rastriya Prajatantra Party – 315,820 (3.15%), Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal – 164,893 (1.64%), Rastriya Pariwartan Party – 161,147 (1.61%), and Janamat Party – 73,540 (0.73%).


Counting is underway.
