Former lawmaker Koirala passes away

JHAPA, June 7: Former parliamentarian and social worker Dr Gopal Prasad Koirala passed away last night. He was 82.Born in Bhojpur, Dr Koirala had been living in Damak for the last 44 years. Dr Koirala had served the country as a medical doctor for long and was elected as a parliamentarian in the By-election in 2056 BS from Jhapa Constituency No 6 representing the Nepali Congress party.

He is survived by his three sons and two daughters. RSS
