Fire destroyes property worth 2 million at Jagdamba Steel

SIMARA, Dec 27:  Property worth more than 20 lakhs has been destroyed in a fire here at Jagdamba Steel of Bara district on Sunday morning.

According to Administration Officer Kumod Dhakal of Jagdamba Steel, the incident occurred due to a short circuit in GI plant around 5 am this morning.


With the joint effort of Nepal Police, Armed Police force and locals, the fire was taken under control.

According to DSP Uttam Khadka at Area Police Office, Simara, it became possible to take the fire under control as the fire engine belonging to Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City reached the incident site immidately after the incident.
