KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Election Commission (EC) has denied approval over the government request forwarded to it for transferring on deputation six under-secretaries.
According to EC spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal, the EC denied approving the government decision over the matters as Ministry of Home Affairs had written a letter to it for the same on November 21.

The EC further has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to submit original documents regarding deputation on a transfer of these officials.
Of these six under-secretaries, three are chief district officers. It is stated that the government request was denied as it was against the election code of conducts. RSS
