Dozen injured in Ascol clash

KATHMANDU, June 21: A dozen students were injured in repeated clashes between two groups of the CPN-UML´s All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU) at Amrit Science Campus at Lainchaur on Tuesday afternoon.



Two students have sustained deep injuries to their heads.



The two groups clashed following a dispute over organizing a welcome function for new students.



"We took control of the situation before it turned nasty," said SP Kedar Rijal, chief of Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu (MPRK).
