Dengue patients increasing in Jhapa

BHADRAPUR, Nov. 21: Local residents in Mechinagar Municipality of Jhapa district have been panicked after the number of dengue patients were reported increasing in the district one after another.



According to District Public health Office, Bhadrapur, as many as 20 dengue patients were found in the municipality during the last two weeks.Majority of the patients have gone through treatment in the local health center while some others were taking treatment services in BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences, Dharan, and Siliguri, India.



Chief of the District Public Health Office, Yogendra Bhagat, said the treatment of dengue disease in primary stage was simple. It can be cured within a week when regular dose of para-cetamol and Jeevan Jal area taken, he added.



Meanwhile, Mechinagar Municipality has started sprinkling Malathion in the affected area, said Bhagat.
