Dang accident death toll reaches 11

DANG, Jan 8: The death toll from Saturday´s head-on collision between a truck and a jeep in Dang has reached 11, with one more injured person passing away on Sunday.



Jayamangal Prasad Gupta of Pipari, Deukhuri Sisahaniya VDC-4, died Sunday morning in the course of treatment, police said.



He had been taken to Kohalpur Medical College for treatment.



On Saturday, 10 people had died in the accident.



With all the 10 being residents of Lamahi bazaar, the whole bazaar is in mourning.



Residents of the bazaar shut down the marketplace, while transport workers also halted transport movement for two hours on Sunday.
