COVID-19: TU Executive Council decides to postpone university examinations until further notice

KATHMANDU, March 19: Tribhuvan University (TU) Executive Council has decided to postpone all the university examinations until further notice owing to possible spread of coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, March 19: Tribhuvan University (TU) Executive Council has decided to postpone all the university examinations until further notice owing to possible spread of coronavirus.


A meeting of the council took a decision to this effect today. In a notice following the meeting, the secretariat stated that the dean offices under the central university will be instructed to postpone all the examinations to be conducted by the TU-affiliated campuses across the country.

The council's decision comes a day after a high-level government panel formed to prevent and contain COVID-19 instructed the government agencies to shut all the academic institutions including schools, colleges and universities.


The panel led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel had also decided to put off the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) until further notice to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19. The SEE was scheduled to begin from today.
