He stressed on it as there is room for doubt with the UCPN (Maoist) which broke the environment of trust by violating agreements time and again.
Responding to a query, Koirala said the Constituent Assembly (CA) could be reinstated for a few days if the UCPN (Maoist) ensures the implementation of the agreement and formation of a national consensus government.
He further said going for election for fresh mandate is the NC´s official decision, but the NC will agree to reinstate the CA to promulgate the new constitution if consensus was forged on all issues.
Similarly, Vice-President of NC, Ram Chandra Paudel, said the UCPN (Maoist) has brought a proposal to form a national consensus government under the leadership of NC as soon as the consensus is forged among political parties but the government has made attempts of foiling an imminent agreement by submitting the ordinance to the President immediately.
Paudel said Wednesday´s discussion held between the NC and CPN-UML was positive. He informed that the NC is holding a meeting today and they will hold discussion with the UML on Friday. Only after that attempts will be made for forging consensus by holding the meeting of the three parties.
He further said that consensus will be forged as there was no alternative to it.
