CHITWAN, Dec 30: CG Foods on Tuesday won the title of the elephant calves football played during the Elephant Festival at Sauraha in Chitwan.
The team of CG Foods overcame Nabil Bank 2-0 in the final after it was gifted an own goal. Calf Saurahagaj netted an early goal while Nabil calf (goalkeeper) Churiyagaj scored the other at own post after the break. Earlier, CG had edged past Buddha Air and Nabil defeated Prabhu Bank to book their place in the final. Saurahagaj won best player and Churiyagaj won best goalkeeper award.

Meanwhile, Ektakali B, belonging to tourism entrepreneur Hasta Bahadur Bhatta, won the Elephant Fast Walk coming ahead of Elisakali of Yubaraj Paudel and Marutikali of Damodar Regmi.
The elephant walk featured 20 elephants divided into four groups. Earlier on the same day, the event also featured elephant beauty contest, single horse and bull cart race. The four-day event which concluded on Wednesday was organized by Regional Hotel Association Sauraha with the view to promote tourism.
