KATHMANDU, Jan 28: In a bid to seek solutions for ending the stalemate in constitution writing, Nilamber Acharya, chairman of the Constitutional Committee (CC) of the Constituent Assembly (CA), has called a meeting of parliamentary party leaders from all political parties represented in the CA.

Acharya called the meeting after the CC failed to make any headway in resolving disputes even as the deadline given for the CC to resolve the disputes is expiring on Sunday.[break]

He is planning to convene an all-party meeting at Singha Durbar on Saturday. Officials at the CC said, Acharya will hold separate talks with the leaders of the three major political parties--UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML-- at Singha Durbar prior to holding the all-party meeting.

"I will put everything before them and explain what we can do as per the CA regulations and the existing calendar of events," Acharya told Republica. "Let´s see what solution the leaders will come up with at the meeting."
