Baitadi shines thru tomato farming

 BAITADI, Dec 19: Forty-two year old farmer Madan Raj Bhatta of Siddhipur-5 has been making good income through tomato farming.

Bhatta who earned technical education with a view to doing jobs paid no attention to it. After being independent through tomato farming, he paid no attention to the technical job he was offered from Drinking Water Project Division, Dadeldhura.  



Bhatta has been doing tomato farming since last two years. He had started the project with Rs 30,000 in loan from his village-based cooperative.
Bhatta has been earning over Rs 400,000 annually from the professional farming extended over 13 ropanis of land. He has been selling tomato for 30 to 40 rupees per kg.
