KATHMANDU, March 24: Shahi Yuva Shakti Nepal has announced protests "aimed at restoring monarchy by May 29."

Organizing a press meet at Reporters’ Club on Thursday, the little-known organization announced a Kathmandu-centric protest plan to restore monarchy.

The protest programs will kick off following a protest assembly at New Road against republic at 3 pm on Friday.

Speaking at the press meet, Chairman of Shahi Yuva Shakti Nepal, Pashupati Khadka announced that they will raise arms if necessary for the revival of monarchy.

“Republic was enforced forcefully going against the agenda of the People’s Movement. It sowed seeds for another conflict,” he said, “Democracy with monarchy is suited for Nepal. We are ready to sacrifice all to ensure that.”
