The 1498 cc car, which is manufactured in India, is powered by 1498 cc 4 cylinder 16-valve petrol engine that produces maximum power of 99 bhp at 6000 revolution per minute (rpm) and maximum torque of 134 Nm at 4000rpm. [break]
“As the name Sunny suggests good day, the car provides the customers with new features, superior facilities and is ahead of other cars in terms of safety,” Sambhu Subedi, senior manager at Dugar Brothers and Sons, said.
The new car has electronic power steering and has Mcpherson Strut suspension in the front and Torsion Bar suspension in the rear with stabilizer bars for better driving experience. It has front ventilated disc brakes and rear drum brakes that are considered as the perfect combination for immediate braking, according to the company.
Besides, with the combination of the Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist in the new car makes braking system more powerful.
The all-new Sunny provides more fuel efficiency as it provides mileage of 12 to 13 km per liter in the city and 15 to 16 km per liter on highways. It has fuel tank capacity of 41 liters.
The car has attractive features like rear defogger, electronic adjustable door mirror, alloy wheels, rear fog lamp, tachometer, digital clock, anti-dazzled room mirror, integrated audio system with four speakers and cigarette lighter making it easier for smokers. It also has adjustable front and rear head rest, manual air conditioner with filter, rear comfort fan, front and rear power windows, sun visor for driver as well as passengers, remote operated keyless entry, and anti-theft device with alarm, among others.
The company has fixed the price of the car at Rs 3.75 million as an introductory offer until Tihar. “People buying the car after Tihar will have to pay additional Rs 150,000,” said Subedi.
The car is available in six different colors: white, pearl white, new silver, claret red, lego blue and titanium grey.
Meanwhile, Batas Brothers is opening a new Nissan showroom in Thapathali on September 26. It is planning to introduce Micra hatchback by January 2013.
