Aimil Group launches 'Non-Destructive Testing Tool'

KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Aimil Group, an India based company has introduced, “Non-Destructive Testing Tool”, equipment which can detect quality of infrastructure without destroying its structure.



The company which is participating in first Construction Expo of the country, launched the product for Nepal at the event. LTC, sole distributor of such equipment will distribute the product in the Nepali market. [break]



General Manager of Aimil Group Aarati Bhargava said, “Usually it is always necessary to destroy part of the infrastructure while examining the quality but our equipment can examine the quality without damaging or destroying the infrastructure.”



The company has been manufacturing more than 1,000 types of construction material and equipment to examine the quality of infrastructures.



The equipment to measure the construction capacity of cement, steel rod and brick of Aimil Group were already in the Nepali market. “The infrastructure can not be strong unless construction materials are of better quality,” she said adding there should be a culture of examining the quality of infrastructure to ensure strong construction.



The representatives of the company who are in Nepal for the expo also demonstrated the use of these equipment to the visitors. “The live demonstration will be useful to win the heart of customers,” she said adding that the equipment of company were gaining popularity because of good quality.



According to Bhargava, the company has also launched Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), which can find out what kind of materials has been used for the floor and wall.



“This equipment helps identify particular weakness and helps in the process of reconstruction,” added she. She said such equipments were useful for engineering college, construction material manufacturer, government regulator among others. The cost of non-destructive testing tool can cost up to Rs 5 million.



Nepa Construction Expo 2012, which kicked off in Kathmandu on Friday, is showcasing different construction material, good and services related to interior designing and heavy equipment used in the execution of larger construction and development project
