Kush Kumar Joshi, former president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), inaugurated the company´s branches in New Baneshwar, Pulchowk, Thamel, Kalimati, Soyambhu, Tinkune and Maharajgunj in the capital and Biratnagar, Dharan, Birtamod and Banepa outside the capital.[break]
Speaking on the occasion, Arjun Dharel, CEO of AceTravels.com, unveiled plans to add 30 more outlets within 2012. He said the company revenue had crossed Rs 2 billion annually and the target was to double it within a year.
“We will continue promoting various destinations of the country to attract domestic as well as inbound tourists,” he said, adding that travel related services through the company will be more convenient with the addition of new branches. “Our focus is on promoting rural destinations and to make them accessible.”
According to Dharel, the company, which has 150 employees, served more than 50,000 customers in its three years of operation. “We are adding 50 more employees within this year,” he said.
AceTravels.com offers international and domestic ticketing, international and domestic holidays, hotel booking and all other travel related services.
On the occasion, Joshi appreciated the contribution of AceTravels.com in the promotion of country´s tourism industry. “It is important to expand branches to all the districts as each districts hold unique tourism product,” he said, calling upon private sector to identify new tourism destinations.
K P Aryal, chairman of the company, expressed commitment to keep customers´ satisfaction as the company´s first priority. “We have the largest network and our focus will continue on fair price,” he said.
AceTravels.com, claims to be the largest Point of Sales Agent (PSA) in the country, having almost all the domestic and international airlines under its network.
“Three years of operation might be a short time in business but we can proudly say that we have been pioneer in popularizing travel culture among Nepalis,” said Dharel.
