Ten-year-old Shrawan Kumar Bhandari, 10, of Dahipairi, Sukipur-6 of the district was abducted on May 25.
According to police, Bhandari's body recovered buried in a paddy field of Kamalpur VDC-3.
An unidentified gang had demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh on April 26, a day after abducting the child.
Earlier, the mother of the child was told by abductors via mobile phone to come to Sukhipur VDC with the money.
They, however, asked her to go back as she had reached there with police officials.
After this incident, they had switched off the mobile phone and never came to contact.
A team of police deputed from Area Police Office, Golbazaar pulled off the body this morning acting upon information provided by locals.
According to police, body of the child was recovered with chopping off his left leg and a rope tied around his neck.
Police said that investigation into the case is underway to nab the abductors.
