Himal overcame Sitaram Agrawal and Lawa Kumar Shrestha in the second and third rounds to earn three points from as many rounds.Three time national champion Badrilal edged past Rabindra Shrestha and Bikash Kuluju while Chhitij saw off Suryasan Prajapati and Govinda Khadka. Similarly, Rabindra overcame Bikram Dhoj Shrestha and Ashish Phuyal. Similarly, Nabin overcame Binita Kapali and Bhupendra Niraula to maintain his winning run.
Keshav Lal Shrestha, Manish Hamal, Janardan Shrestha, Kamal Shrestha and Suman Rai have accumulated 2.5 points each after two wins and a draw.
Bhupendra Niraula, Sajin Maharjan, Lawa Kumar Shrestha, Bikash Kuluju, Govinda Khadka, Ashish Phuyal, Rijendra Rajbhandari, Bikram Dhoj Shrestha and Suman Lama are all on two points each.
