The accident took place at around 4:00 pm today when a reserved passenger-mini bus (Na 3 Kha 2715) collided with the truck (Na 1 Gha 539) carrying equipments of Nepal Electricity Authority coming from the opposite direction.
The deceased are Sanichari Kuswar, 70, of paurahi-9, Majhitole, nine-year-old Binayak Kuswar and bus driver Deepak BK known as Dore hailing from Danda VDC, Nawalparasi.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Chandranigahapur hospital, Birgunj hospital and Bharatpur hospital, said the Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur.
The bus was reportedly carrying brick kilns workers to Nawalparasi from Rautahat.
