"We have almost decorated the Narayani river bank. Stalls, which will showcase a wide range of products produced in the region, too will be set up soon," said CCCI President Dr Til Chandra Bhattarai said.[break]
Organizers of the event, including the CCCI, Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Bharatpur and Ratna Nagar municipalities are expecting a footfall of hundreds of thousands at the fair, which they hope will spin transactions worth around Rs 250 million.

The fair, which will comprise more than 425 stalls, is also scheduled to host a series of workshop and seminars on investment prospects in the region. Dr Bhattarai said that the CCCI will strive to lure investment in over 15 sectors ranging from agriculture to hydropower.
"This fair will be a landmark for the development of the region," Dr Bhattarai stated. As the fair targets to lure investment from domestic as well as foreign investors, he said it has filled a sense of excitement among locals and businessmen in Chitwan.
Officials from various government agencies have also expressed interest in the festival. "The fair will also be important to farmers as it will give them an opportunity to explore markets for their products," Jaganath Tiwari, officer at the District Agriculture Office (DAO), told Republica.
