The division bench of Justices Sushila Karki and Tarka Raj Bhatta had fixed the date of issuing verdict on Gupta´s case for Monday. [break]
"The verdict was postponed due to lack of enough time to prepare the full text of the final verdict," said SC Spokesperson Hemanta Rawal.
Minister Gupta has been accused of amassing property worth Rs 20.8 million through illegal means while he was at the helm of various ministries.
The Commission for the Investigation on Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case against Gupta at the Special Court on March 20, 2003, accusing him of amassing property disproportionate to his income.
However, the Special Court had acquitted Gupta on June 7, 2007, citing insufficient evidence.
The CIAA had filed a review petition at the SC claiming that the Special Court verdict to acquit Gupta from corruption charge was inappropriate.
