DPM Shrestha to attend Bali Democracy Forum

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha is leaving for Indonesia on November 7 to attend Bali Democracy Forum to be held in the Island resort of Bali.



Minister Shrestha will return home after participating in the event on November 9, a foreign ministry source said. The forum will be attended by representatives of 15 Asian countries.



Shrestha will be holding meeting with his counterparts from Indonesia, Japan and Thailand, among others, on the sideline of the event.



The government of Indonesia started Bali Democracy Forum in 2008 as an annual forum of foreign ministers from Asia-Pacific countries that are democratic or are aspiring to be more democratic.
