KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has instructed local administrations to work in cooperation and coordination with locally elected representatives before and during the House of Representatives elections.

Minister Aryal issued the directive while visiting Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchok on Sunday to review preparations for the upcoming elections and assess the overall situation in the district.
He told chief district officers and members of district security committees to implement the ministry’s concept aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation during the election period.
During the visit, the Home Minister also sought updates on election preparations from Kavrepalanchok’s chief election officer, Prem Prasad Neupane.
Officials, including the chief district officer and security agency representatives, briefed him on the district’s overall law and order situation and the status of election preparations, according to the home minister’s secretariat.
