KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday plunged 19.85 points over a selling pressure, to close at 2,694.20 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,714.05 points, reaching day’s high at 2,719.62 points in the first five minutes. The market went to a straight fall at 2,690.52 points at around the midway of trading time. In the next one hour, the market again soared as high as 2,702.86 points before reaching the day’s low at 2,690.1 points in the last 13 minutes.

Only the trading group gained 20.92 points. Of the 12 losers, hotels and tourism plunged by the largest of 132.30 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies decreased 2.76 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 9.10 billion from Rs 14.56 billion.
Among the individual companies, 50 were gainers while 201 were recorded as losers. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 555.24 million.
Corporate Development Bank Limited lost by the highest of 10 percent. Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited had its index increased by 9.70 percent, the highest of all.
